Welcome to our web site

The Wildwood Beach Patrol is responsible for protecting approximately 1.25 miles of beach, from Cresse Avenue to 26th Street in Wildwood, New Jersey.

The area is divided into three sections: North Beach, Central Beach and South Beach. There are usually 21 lifeguard stands manned during the season. Lifeguards are supported by Lieutenant personnel in four–wheel drive vehicles. Additional support is provided by all–terrain cycles and waverunners. All personnel are in contact with each other by radio transmitters which have the capability of communicating with the City of Wildwood’s Police and Fire/Rescue departments.

Wildwood Beach Patrol is a member of the South Jersey Lifeguard Chief’s Association and our lifeguards participate in a variety of lifeguarding competitions at the local, regional, and national level. Wildwood Beach Patrol also hosts the annual Dutch Hoffman Lifeguard Races.
